SUBHEADS
(COMIC SANS BOLD)

Inspiration

Characters are intrinsic to the comic
medium. Therefore, two characters were established to guide the reader through the exhibition: the "curator" and the "narrator". They also help establish hierarchy in the typographic system.

"CURATOR" CHARACTER

Speaks in body copy.

I AM THE NARRATOR!

"NARRATOR" CHARACTER

Speaks in subheads.

EXHIBITION CATALOG

A speculative exhibition catalog for a showing of five comic artists. This catalog assumes a form relevant to its content: a comic book. Though the use of Comic Sans as the primary body copy typeface is a risk, it was determined that the typeface's appropriateness to the content form
is undeniable.
In order to maintain the story-telling element of a comic, two characters are introduced: the "curator" and the "narrator".
